Forgot to add, stay away from soy, lentils. Soy prevents the absorption of thyroxine and so does coffee, caffeine big no no. Lasts 25hrs in your system and also inhibits the meds.

I have done the same, I have Graves disease, I hardly take any meds, I know when my system needs a boost or take it down a peg. Zinc, vit d3, selenium, magnesium, b12 multi. Wheat and dairy are hard to cut out, also found exercise helps.

Oh I'm 57 got ht after 1sy baby 30 yrs ago. I always think there has to be a way to wake up my thyroid gland.

I am on very high dose no thyroid. Basically armour. I take 190mg no thyroid. How do I know when to stop medicine? Won't taking medicine keep my thyroid from working? Tia
